Joy is the Point

If I’ve learned anything on this messy, winding journey, it’s this:

Joy is not just a nice-to-have.
It’s not a reward after the grind.
Joy is the point.

What joy isn’t

Joy isn’t perfection. It’s not a Pinterest-worthy life or a flawless Instagram feed.
It’s not about constant happiness or skipping through life without struggle.

Joy is real. It’s gritty, messy, sometimes loud – and it’s always available if we let it in.

Why joy matters

Choosing joy is a radical act of rebellion against numbness, pain, and despair.
It’s saying, “I see you, hard life, but I’m still here – and I’m choosing to feel the good, too.”

Joy fuels resilience. It helps me keep going when the world tries to wear me down.
Joy is what makes the struggle worthwhile.

Joy in the everyday

Joy is in the little things – my morning coffee, Cher’s silly antics, a song that hits just right.
It’s not always loud or dramatic. Sometimes it’s quiet and soft.
But it’s always there, waiting to be noticed.

AN INVITATION

This is my invitation to you:
Look for joy in your own life, wherever you are right now.
Let it be your guide and your anchor.

Because at the end of the day, joy is the point.
And I’m choosing it. Every day.

More soon,
XOXO, Lucy
